Friday, April 13, 2007I reach work around 7.10am and everyone was eating & relaxing 1st. I brought breakfast with me so i also join them. After an hour(i guess) we began briefing and start with stocktake. My area is 78 till 102. Mine mostly was the children books + the ladybird & Robin readers area*faint*. The day before Wendy told me that my scanner is a girl but when my scanner came to me, it was an auntie haha! So we started scanning & we started chatting. She's really friendly and something she said shock me! She's Toa Payoh Popular Manager*faint*. I was really shock as she doesn't look like a manager and she's really friendly, enjoys laughing & a really funny person haha:P.
Once we were finally done scanning the book quantities, i headed to had lunch with my malay peeps at Popular. We were given $5 to buy our lunch as the food they ordered are not halal. After lunch, chill & chat with the rest as we were waiting for the variance.
Finally the variance came & all i can say is bad news:(. If you guys wondering what am i talking about well let me explain. Variance means our product quantity isnt the same as the system. Example: System shows that we are suppose to have 6 copies if the book but when we counted, we only have less than 6. It doesn't tally. And a lot of books were missing. They tried searching for the books that were missing but we failed:( The lost was really a lot compared to the last stock take and i won't tell you guys how much we lost as its private & confidential. My supervisor was really upset, stress up, confuse & really didn't know what to do. In my heart, i knew she was crying right now. And i was right as Cassie told me that she cried really badly at the customer service:(. I really felt sad & really pity her:(. How i wish i could help but i really can't do anything:( The only thing is to try find the books. Me, su wei & syed work together and tried again but we only manage to find some. But its still not enough:(
THERE IS SOMETHING THAT REALLY PISSED ME OFF! INSTEAD OF CONFORTING THE PERSON OR TRY TO HELP, ALL YOU GUYS DO IS LAUGH & GAVE MOTHER F****** COMMENTS! MAY YOUR DEPARTMENT SCREW UP BIG TIME SOMEDAY!
My ARM told Wendy to go home & rest as she was really stress up. There wasn't anyone at English department as the rest are going back at 5pm. So i volunteered as im off tomorrow. The thing is, i was wearing home clothes as im suppose to work from 7am to 5pm. We didnt had much choice as their spare uniform are all left with small sizes. So the ARM told me that she didn't see anything and told me to work haha! Once the door open at 5pm, Popular was super pack! Where did the people come from?? haha. I was feeling really sleepy as i slept late last night but i persevered. This is the only small thing i could do to help. Lots of customers looking for books but mostly were those that we don't have & they wanted me to check other outlets or order it for them. When it was dinner time, i cant believe i doze off. But luckily i remembered to set alarm or else confirm im gonna sleep all the way haha. After dinner, continued work as usual. around 9pm i went to Customer Service to check some books for a customer. After that i chatted with Casey & Zhen Lin. Casey is a really fun & good person to chat with. She always give me good advise and she is a DAMN FUNNY JOKER! Me & Zhen Lin kept laughing our ass off! HAHA! We chat a lot! She told us about her past Popular experience. She's was transferred to many different outlets last time. She told us so many funny stories when she was working at other outlets. So damn hilarious i tell you! After that we talk about Jurong East Popular. First i told her that Popular is so unfair. Other staff works at a small outlet and they still get the same pay as those who work at a huge outlet! Than i complain that how come mm/cd pay is the same as us? All they do is always seat or stand at the cashier counter! They seldom have much to do and normally their stocks always buyer do the ordering for them! They only do return when buyer ask them to! This is really unfair!!!!!!!!!!!!!! & they always complain that there are tired! Tired with what! Eng, text, chinese & stat has more SHIT TO DO compared to you guys ok! I feel like doing something like tell HQ or something but who am i right?? Im just a small piece of lizard shit ok! So i can only say but do nothing. I really pity the full timers & HOD's.(not from cd/mm). Than Casey said to me "You also know?". She agreed and she said many stuff which im lazy to type. Zhen Lin agreed too. Casey said that the most best Supervisor is Wendy. Even if she stay's whole day inside the office, her sales are wonderful ok!
